Beijing 4 days tour from Shanghai
Day 01:
Hotel: Beijing Taiwan Hotel 3 Star
Flight: MU5107 1100 1315 Depart from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport at 11:00am, and arrive Beijing at 13:15
Tour Itinerary:
Arrive Beijing Airport at 13:15, welcomed by professional English tour guide. Drive to the Summer Palace directly in order to guarantee enough time to visit the attraction. It¡¯s about 2 hours drive and the visit in the Summer Palace takes about 1.5 hour. Transfer back to hotel after visit. Our guide will kindly help clients check in hotel, arrange the breakfast and morning call. The end of today¡¯s tour.
Attraction Description: The Summer Palace is the largest imperial Garden in existence in China. In Qing Dynasty, there used to be 5 gardens and 3 mountains in Beijing for Emperor¡¯s entertainment. But most of them have been destroyed by war only the Summer Palace were saved because it was loved by Empress Cixi. The garden is 273 hectares and 3 quarter of it covered by Kunming Lake. The 731-meter Long Corridor, the 17-arch Bridge and the Marble Boat are all world famous structures. The garden is also be regarded as a museum of gardens in China. The visit takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Day 02(B, L, D)
Hotel: Beijing Taiwan Hotel 3 Star
Tour Itinerary:
1. Pick up at your hotel between 8:00AM.
2. Visit Changling Tomb. Attraction Description: The Thirteen Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. Ming Dynasty lasted from 1368 to 1644 and 13 emperors buried in this area, every tomb located in different places about 3-5 kilometers between each other. Only 3 of them open to the public. Changling Tomb-The largest and first-built in the 13 Ming Tombs (which is 50 kilometers away from Beijing City Center, about 40-60 minutes drive). The 3ed Emperor Yongle is buried in Changling Tomb.
3. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
- After lunch, drive to the Badaling Great Wall
Attraction Description: Badaling Great Wall-(79 km from Beijing City Center, 20-30 minutes drive from Ming Tombs). The hiking on Badaling Great Wall takes 1-2 hours. Badaling section is the first opened, most famous and best-preserved wall in China. The Real Man Ramp is the highest point at Badaling Great Wall (888 meters above sea level). Every one is dreaming to have a visit to this ramp because of Chairman Mao Zedong¡¯s saying: ¡° If one man doesn¡¯t get to the Great Wall during his life time, he is not a real man.¡± Cable car (which is 60RMB/pp for a round trip) is available and optional to arrive the Real Man Ramp directly. The length of the Real Man Ramp is about 300 meters and some parts are very steep. Stand on the top of Badaling Great Wall, you can have a bird view of the whole section, the Title Sentence for 2008 Beijing Olympic shows up clearly at this point: ¡°One World, One Dream.¡±
- Have Peking Duck Dinner(Beijing Quan Jude Peking Duck Restaurant which is the best and most well-known in China), watch Kongfu Show after dinner.
- After the tour, transferred back to hotel.
Day 03:(B, L)
Hotel: Beijing Taiwan Hotel 3 Star
Tour Itinerary:
1. Pick up at your hotel between 8:00AM.
- First visit the Tian¡¯an men Square.
Attraction Description: Tian¡¯anmen Square is the real city center of Beijing, the Zero Km Well under the Qianmen Gate can prove this point. It is 44 hectares in area, 880 meters from South to North and 550 meters from west to east. This make Tian¡¯anmen Square become the largest city center square in the world, it used to accommodate 1 million people during event. Many important historical event were happened in this square and many famous old/new buildings are located surround it. The Great Hall of the People, the Monument to the People¡¯s Hero, the Chinese History Museum, the Chairman Mao¡¯s Mausoleum, the Qianmen Gate, the Zero Km Well of China, the Chinese National Theater, and Chinese National Flag all can not be missed.
- Then move on to the Forbidden City which is just next to the Tian¡¯anmen Square inside the Tian¡¯anmen Gate.
Attraction Description: The Forbidden City is the real Office and Living Quarter for Emperors of Ming(1368-1644) and Qing(1644-1911) Dynasties. There 9999 rooms in the deep palace and become the largest ancient imperial palace in the world. The Throne Hall-the Hall of Supreme Harmony is the largest Building in Forbidden City, it is 11 rooms wide and 7 rooms deep. The Forbidden City also named the Palace Museum, there are dozens of exhibition room inside and open in turn. Our group will visit the Forbidden City along the central-axis from south to north for 2 hours.
- Then move on to the largest Lama Temple of Beijing - Yonghe Lama Temple.
Attraction Description: The Lama Temple also name Beijing Yonghe Lamasery, it was the living quarter of Emperor Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty. After he became a emperor, he move to the Forbidden City and change his old living quarter into a Lamasery in order to make a good relationship with Tibetans. Emperor Yongzheng spent big fund of money on this temple because its high rank and invite the most important masters of Tibet Buddhism to live in Beijing. The Tibet Lamasery Masters also make many beautiful arts in the temple to express thanks to the Emperor. Until now, Yonghe Lamasery is still a alive university for Lama monks, they study Lama Buddhism in the morning and evening when the temple is not open to the public. The Lama Temple tour finishes at about 11:00.
- Have lunch at a local restaurant( 40-70 minutes ).
- Visit the Temple of Heaven
Attraction Description: There are 4 important temples for emperors pray to the God in Beijing, and they are all still exist---Temple of Heaven on the South, Temple of Earth on the north, Temple of Moon on the West and Temple of Sun on the West. Temple of Heaven is the largest one in the 4 and also the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world. It was the place where the Emperors prayed for good harvest and a lucky new year to the God of Heaven. This temple is warm welcomed by Beijing local Citizens because of the big old forests in the garden area. It¡¯s the best place to understand ancient Chinese worship culture & building style and also the Beijing citizens¡¯ daily life. It¡¯s a pretty big big garden which is 290 hectares and 4 times as large as Forbidden City. Our group will visit the citizen entertainment area and the attractions along the central-axis for about 1 hour.
- Tour Finished arround 6:30, you will be transferred back to hotel.

Check out is usually 12noon on the day of check out. Early check in may be available in a case by case basis by request in advance.
