Description: This is a typical Beijing Highlight Tour, Juyong Pass of Great Wall is 59km from Beijing city center while Badaling Great wall is 79km. Ming Tombs are just about 30 minutes drive from Great Wall. Lunch is arranged between the Wall and Ming Tombs. Changling Tomb is the largest one and first built in 13 Ming Tombs while Dingling Tomb is the only one has been excavated. You can choose any one of the Tomb with one section of Great Wall by the same price, Add-on Programs is also available to improve your travel plan just add the listed expense. Attraction Description:
The Thirteen Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. Ming Dynasty lasted from 1368 to 1644 and 13 emperors buried in this area, every tomb located in different places about 3-5 kilometers between each other. Only 3 of them open to the public.
Changling Tomb-The largest and first-built in the 13 Ming Tombs (which is 50 kilometers away from Beijing City Center, about 40-60 minutes drive). The 3ed Emperor Yongle is buried in Changling Tomb.
Dingling Tomb-The only one has been excavated in the 13 Ming Tombs (which is 50 kilometers away from Beijing City Center, about 40-60 minutes drive). The 13th Emperor Zhuyijun is buried in Changling Tomb.
- Have lunch at a local restaurant.
- After lunch, drive to the Badaling Great Wall or Juyong Pass of the Great Wall
Attraction Description:
Badaling Great Wall-(79 km from Beijing City Center, 20-30 minutes drive from Ming Tombs). The hiking on Badaling Great Wall takes 1-2 hours. Badaling section is the first opened, most famous and best-preserved wall in China. The Real Man Ramp is the highest point at Badaling Great Wall (888 meters above sea level). Every one is dreaming to have a visit to this ramp because of Chairman Mao Zedong’s saying: “ If one man doesn’t get to the Great Wall during his life time, he is not a real man.” Cable car (which is 60RMB/pp for a round trip) is available and optional to arrive the Real Man Ramp directly. The length of the Real Man Ramp is about 300 meters and some parts are very steep. Stand on the top of Badaling Great Wall, you can have a bird view of the whole section, the Title Sentence for 2008 Beijing Olympic shows up clearly at this point: “One World, One Dream.”
Juyong Pass of Great Wall-The Juyong Pass is well-know as the first pass of the Great Wall in China because it’s location and beautiful view. It’s the closest section to Beijing City and the mountain there covered with dense woods. One section in Juyong Pass is made of Sand with stone base which only can be find in Juyong Section. Cloudy Terrace is also unique in the world with amazing stone carving in the gate. There is a big platform on the base of this section with 2 big towers and old cannons point to the city. The stone carved with Chairman Mao’s saying is also available for pictures. Cable car is not available in Juyong Pass.
