Arrive at Gonggar Airport (3500m), welcomed by the local tour guide, transfer 60km (paved road, about 1 hour drive ) to the city proper, drive along the Yalutsangpo River and Lhasa River, enjoy the Tibetan style villages and Nyetang Buddha ,check in hotel in Lhasa (3658m) and rest for acclimatization.

 

 

Take a tour to Potala Palace. It was the local government location, and was divided into two parts, the white palace and red one; It was also the highest castle-style palace in the world; Visit Jolkhang Temple and Barkhor Market, the heart of the old Lhasa town, here you＊ll enjoy fascinating combination of deep religiosity and push and shove market economics. In Tibetan Buddhism Jolkhang is also regarded as the center of the Universe, it is a must famous sightseeing in Lhasa; Visiting Sera Monastery is also possible this day.

 

 

Drive to the east, about 70km, to visit Drak Yerpa Monastery; It was a place for eminent monks to sit in meditation. It is so quiet and not so many tourists go there, and the monastery is almost along the cliff, and there are lots of prayer-flags across and around in the air; It is also a nice place for some trekking. (paved road ,just a little rough road, the altitude is about 4600m) ; back to Lhasa , visit Tibet Museum . Live in Lhasa.
