Arrive at Gonggar Airport (3500m), welcome by the local tour guide, transfer 60km (paved road, about 1 hour drive ) to the city proper, drive along the Yalutsangpo River and Lhasa River, enjoy the Tibetan style villages and Nyetang Buddha ,check in hotel in Lhasa (3658m) and rest for acclimatization.

 

 

Take a tour to Potala Palace. It was the local government location, and was divided into two parts, the white palace and red one ; It was also the highest castle-style palace in the world; Visit Jolkhang Temple and Barkhor Market, the heart of the old Lhasa town, here you＊ll enjoy fascinating combination of deep religiosity and push and shove market economics. In Tibetan Buddhism Jokhang is also regarded as the center of the Universe, it is a must sightseeing in Lhasa.

 

 

Visit Drepung Monastery in the morning, which is the largest monastery in Tibet, founded in 1416 by disciple of Tsongkhapa called Jamyang Choje.  Then Sera Monastery in the afternoon, which was founded in 1419 by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. The most distinguished and interesting thing here is monks＊ debating about Buddhism. Then visit Lhobulingka (the jewel park in Tibetan) which was the summer palace of Dalai Lamas.

 

 

Drive to Ganden Monastery from Lhasa, visit Ganden Monastery which is the most important one of Yellow-hat Sect; Then drive to Drigung Monastery; Behind the monastery is one of the most famous sky burial in the world; then visit the most famous hot spring in Tibet; Live in the simly-equipped guesthouse; half rough road ,the other paved; 260km for all the day.

Drive from Detsong Hot Spring to  Reting Monastery, after visiting the monastery , drive to Dangxiong Town, rough road , 300km for all the day; live in Dangxiong Town;

 

 

Numtso Lake is the biggest of the three holy lakes in Tibetan , it is ※ heaven lake§, which is 4780 meters above sea level and about 1940 square kilometers. The lake is as blue as the sky, with lots of yaks and sheep on the green grassland. And the lake is in the arms of Nyanqingtanggula Mountain with snow on the top all the year.. Make a photo stop on the way back to Lhasa for the statue of the girl which got the fire from the sun for the Eleventh Asia Games. Another stop is the hot spring at Yangpachen.
